In celebration of World Sleep Day on 18 March, Friso’s Good Sleep, Good Poop campaign is back! The Good Poop Advisory Panel, comprising of SOG Consultant Paediatrician Dr. Petrina Wong alongside other guest experts get together again to raise the awareness of good gut health, and the importance of cultivating good sleeping habits in children.
“Why does good poop matter so much?” In this article by Mothership Singapore, Dr. Petrina Wong shared why parents need to understand their child’s poop in relation to children’s digestive health, enabling parents to be proactive about their child’s diet and gut health.
Other useful tips by Dr. Wong include:
1️⃣ Eating high-fibre foods to keep bowel movements regular
2️⃣ Encouraging regular bowel movement by getting your child to sit on the potty or toilet bowl once or twice a day (Tip: after mealtimes)
3️⃣ Setting a regular bedtime routine to encourage good sleeping patterns.
